My in laws got me this book two years ago for Christmas. At the time I was “just an aspiring author.” Now I’m a published author and still certainly love our kitties. The book contains nearly 50 heart warming anecdotes and pictures of (predictably) authors/ writers and their cats. My favorite pics were Allen Ginsberg and Stephen King with cats on Allen’s back and Stephen’s head @stephenkingofficialpage I didn’t know all the authors but enjoyed each story. As usual, my cat interrupted the "photo shoot" but didn't look photogenic doing so. I'm honored that @literarytitan gave The Broken Bridge a five star editorial review and said such lovely things about the story! Link and bio! Here's what their reviewer said: Finished up @sararosett’s On the Run International cozy mystery series this week with Duplicity. I've really loved the whole art heist series and the international destinations. I'm sad to be done but really enjoyed it at the same time. This one is a cross over with Sara's High Society Lady Detective mystery series where both sleuths are investigating the same painting, 100ish years apart. It was really fun! And (this keeps happening!) we want to go to Athens for our next big vacation and part of the story was set in Athens. They were also in Amsterdam which was also beautifully described and enjoyable to read about. I recently found this old school, well loved bookmark from my childhood. I’m sure I got it from my local library (shout out to @reedmemoriallibraryoh!). Was wondering how many other 1980s/ early 1990s era readers also marked their pages with this frog who just laid next to and looked at books, not so much read them? I bought this cozy mystery 90% based on the puffins on the cover. I kinda have a thing for them since our visit to Iceland in 2019. I was also interested based on one of the characters being into green living. As a eco-writer, former stream restoration professional, sustainability consultant, natural history professor, and general green geek, I’m not impressed with how this environmental character is portrayed so far. People who like the environment are not weird. We should ALL care about the Earth and try to lessen our impacts. I may or may not finish the book. Still makes for a cute pic. I think this is my fourth Women in Publishing Summit! I'm so excited to learn more about the art of authoring. @womeninpublishingsummit I had to travel for work this week. The bright red curtains in my hotel room were too fun to pass up for a bookstagram post. I read @kate_darroch_author Death in Paris last week in record time. I enjoyed the setting, friendships (new and old), and time period (no cell phones!). I’ve wanted to travel to Paris forever and this unlikeable character being pushed off the Eiffel Tower has not deterred me. I had nooo idea about how the mystery would be wrapped up.
